For many decades, cable manufacturers are experimenting with different constructions and materials which should have resulted in a more natural, better, attractive and undistorted sound.
Seldom if ever have manufacturers big or small returned to the basics: the ad random in time behaviour of electrons in atoms when magnetism, eddy currents and reflections are induced by a varying current and voltage in any cable. To say it bluntly: there is no research into Quantum mechanics.*
Year in, year out, high tech materials have been used as unique selling points for high-end music reproduction. For example are Beryllium, Silver, Gold, Teflon, Mica, Mylar, Kevlar, etc., etc. used in cable technology. The musical results are not maximized because the basics are forgotten. More then 20 years ago, Driade started research in digital designs followed by co-operation and developments which were based on the in-depth behaviour of electrons over the whole frequency bandwidth.
Again, what differentiates the Flow cables from the majority of other cables on the market is not focusing on the “high quality” conductor material, the geometry or the isolation but on researching how electrons actually behave in time within magnetic fields with the aim to minimize eddy currents and reflections as induced by the varying magnetic field by current and voltage.

*A force on any particles that carry electric charges is exerted, electric charges move, a current flows and a magnetic field is produced. The changing magnetic field, in turn, causes electric current i.e. moving electrons.
SPECIFICATIONS
Specifications are important in this audio sector. For example, the impedance of a 3 meter length Flow 405 speaker cable assembled with the Copper G connector and included soldering measured at 22° C is at 1 KHz 0.038 Ω, at 10 KHz 0.039 Ω and at 100 KHz 0.040 Ω.

PURE COPPER
We have consciously chosen to use pure copper as conductor material and pure copper for grounding. Flow conductors are wrapped in natural silk as covering, air as dielectric and synthetic rubber injected with metal particles as isolation.
CONNECTORS
Low Mass and Maximum Contact
Necessities in the development of our cables are superior connectors. We are allergic to connectors with high mass because of eddy currents. The connectors, for example our Flow Copper G and the Neutrik Pro, have a minimal conducting mass and a maximum contact surface.
PRODUCTION
Produced in the Netherlands
Essentially we are against countries with low wages, where labour costs are for example 90 dollar cents an hour and where the workers have no social security, no rights, no health insurance and no pension. This is one of the reasons why we build our products from scratch by hand, in modern, social, democratic countries.
